Junior Systems Engineer

This role is for a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer responsible for software systems engineering in aviation programs, including acquisition, development, and sustainment.

Key duties include

developing and maintaining software requirements

reviewing vendor software specifications

coordinating system integration and analyzing software defects

collaborating with cybersecurity experts

participating in system engineering reviews and supporting engineering change proposals

working within Agile and SAFe processes, and supporting technical evaluations of proposals

Qualifications include

at least two years of software or systems engineering experience

knowledge of avionics systems

a BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program

Preferred skills are experience with military standards, systems/software engineering, MBSE, systems safety & reliability, and Agile processes.

Applicants must have an Active Secret Clearance and be U.S. citizens.

Compensation ranges from $70,000 to $122,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, retirement plans, paid leave, and professional development.

Work requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.
