The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) – I is responsible for providing daily security support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities supporting mission areas.
Key duties include reviewing and updating accreditation packages, conducting security surveys and inspections, identifying vulnerabilities, implementing countermeasures, maintaining security records, and ensuring proper operation, maintenance, and disposal of AIS and network systems.
They assist with certification and accreditation efforts and conduct security training for personnel.
Qualifications include a high school diploma with 4 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years; at least 1 year of SAP experience; and required certifications per DoD directives, with a preference for familiarity with security policies and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The role requires a current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to undergo a polygraph.
Physical requirements involve on-site work, occasional travel, and the ability to remain stationary or move as needed within secure environments.
