Role Overview: This position involves leading daily department operations in a retail store, especially in the absence of the department manager. The focus is on maintaining inventory, managing a team, ensuring product quality, and meeting company goals and key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order, track, and control inventory to minimize loss and ensure freshness.
- Validate received products for quality, quantity, and storage.
- Supervise team members in stocking, production, and quality tasks.
- Maintain product knowledge and promote store sales features.
- Execute weekly plans, manage schedules, and support labor and payroll control.
- Assist in staffing, training, performance management, and goal setting.
- Participate in meetings and ensure a clean, organized, and attractive department.
- Follow safety, food safety, guest experience, and company policies.
- Support additional tasks across departments as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years retail experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership ability and hands-on work capability.
- Knowledge of retail operations and management systems.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and adapt to varied temperatures and environments.
