Role Overview: Responsible for operating cash registers, processing transactions, and assisting customers with bagging while delivering courteous service.

Key Duties:

Operate cash registers and scanners to itemize purchases, handle products including grocery, produce, and meats.
Process various payment methods accurately, including cash, checks, credit cards, and food assistance programs.
Weigh, bag, and ensure proper handling of customer purchases.
Utilize check-stand equipment efficiently and maintain store displays.
Ensure accurate product pricing, signage, and communicate store programs and promotions.
Follow safety, sanitation, and cash handling policies, and maintain a clean, stocked department.
Assist with stocking and other tasks as needed, adhering to safety and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Prior retail experience is a plus.

Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and perform in varied store environments.
