Role Overview: This position involves independently displaying and stocking products to support store operations, ensuring a positive guest experience, and maintaining safety and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process various financial transactions accurately, including cash, checks, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking products throughout the store.
- Operate the cash register, promote suggestive selling, enroll guests in loyalty programs, and keep the service area clean.
- Ensure proper product identification, pricing, and signage, reporting errors as needed.
- Communicate store programs, specials, and coupons to customers while delivering high-quality service.
- Follow policies for security, cash handling, product handling, and sale of age-restricted products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department and store exterior, adhering to sanitation and safety protocols.
- Support stocking tasks across sales floor, coolers, and back rooms, following safety guidelines.
- Perform additional duties in other departments as needed to enhance guest experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior retail or related experience preferred.
- Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in varied environments. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.
